This week you will be creating a foundation of knowledge regarding public and population health. You will review public and population health and the role of nursing in the provision of interventions to promote health, protect health, and reduce risk in populations and individuals. Finally, you will be introduced to the basic components of grant writing, as the major project for this course will be writing a mini-grant proposal for a health promotion project to benefit a selected vulnerable population.
