The symptoms differ depending on the disease’s cause and anatomic location. Hypoxemia and hypercapnia are life-threatening disorders in diseases that limit breathing or gas exchange. As a result of a systemic inflammatory response and toxemia, infectious and inflammatory illnesses can induce significant clinical abnormalities.
