*Family Nurse Practitioner is the answer to question number two.
You should proofread your paper. However, do not rely solely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part, and your grade will suffer as a result. Papers with a high number of misspelled words and grammatical errors will be penalized. Before submitting your paper, go over it in silence and then aloud, and make any necessary changes. It is often beneficial to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Uncorrected mistakes are preferable to handwritten corrections.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point typeface (10 to 12 characters per inch). Smaller or compressed type, as well as papers with narrow margins or single spacing, are difficult to read. It is preferable to allow your essay to exceed the recommended number of pages rather than attempting to compress it into fewer pages.
Large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are also unacceptable, waste trees, and will not fool your professor.
The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced, and have a one-inch margin on all four sides of each page. When submitting hard copies, use white paper and print with dark ink. It will be difficult to follow your argument if it is difficult to read your essay.
I aspire to pursue a graduate program in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). I have been a registered nurse for 12 years with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As a registered nurse, I interacted with and cared for patients across the lifespan with different medical diagnoses and healthcare needs. I always wished to have a higher degree of autonomy in my practice, similar to physicians, to implement interventions without asking a physician to intervene. The desire for autonomy steered my interest in pursuing an FNP program to acquire the knowledge and skills and get certified to be a primary care provider in my state.
In my nursing practice as a registered nurse, I had limited autonomy since the scope of practice does not allow RNs to diagnose, order diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment. I felt that I was restricted in my practice, and my potential was not fully tapped into. Therefore, I started exploring options that would increase my autonomy, similar to physicians.
FNPs in my state have Full practice authority, which motivated me to apply for an FNP program to practice independently. One of my professional goals is to establish a clinic where I will provide primary health care services to people in my town. An FNP course will equip me with knowledge and skills to serve this population since my scope will significantly expand upon obtaining an FNP certification.
Since I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, it is important that I pursue my education further for career growth. My goal is to reach the highest level of education possible and motivate younger nurses to do the same through my academic achievement. For these reasons, I have chosen to enroll in an FNP program, which will provide an excellent platform to acquire advanced skills and interact with other FNPs.
