How to Research and Prepare for  MHA-FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard

Whether one passes or fails an academic assignment such as the Capella University  MHA-FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard  depends on the preparation done beforehand. The first thing to do once you receive an assignment is to quickly skim through the requirements. Once that is done, start going through the instructions one by one to clearly understand what the instructor wants. The most important thing here is to understand the required format—whether it is APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.

After understanding the requirements of the paper, the next phase is to gather relevant materials. The first place to start the research process is the weekly resources. Go through the resources provided in the instructions to determine which ones fit the assignment. After reviewing the provided resources, use the university library to search for additional resources. After gathering sufficient and necessary resources, you are now ready to start drafting your paper.

How to Write the Introduction for  MHA-FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard

The introduction for the Capella University  MHA-FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard is where you tell the instructor what your paper will encompass. In three to four statements, highlight the important points that will form the basis of your paper. Here, you can include statistics to show the importance of the topic you will be discussing. At the end of the introduction, write a clear purpose statement outlining what exactly will be contained in the paper. This statement will start with “The purpose of this paper…” and then proceed to outline the various sections of the instructions.

How to Write the Body for  MHA-FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard

After the introduction, move into the main part of the  MHA-FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard  assignment, which is the body. Given that the paper you will be writing is not experimental, the way you organize the headings and subheadings of your paper is critically important. In some cases, you might have to use more subheadings to properly organize the assignment. The organization will depend on the rubric provided. Carefully examine the rubric, as it will contain all the detailed requirements of the assignment. Sometimes, the rubric will have information that the normal instructions lack.

Another important factor to consider at this point is how to do citations. In-text citations are fundamental as they support the arguments and points you make in the paper. At this point, the resources gathered at the beginning will come in handy. Integrating the ideas of the authors with your own will ensure that you produce a comprehensive paper. Also, follow the given citation format. In most cases, APA 7 is the preferred format for nursing assignments.

How to Write the Conclusion for  MHA-FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard

After completing the main sections, write the conclusion of your paper. The conclusion is a summary of the main points you made in your paper. However, you need to rewrite the points and not simply copy and paste them. By restating the points from each subheading, you will provide a nuanced overview of the assignment to the reader.

How to Format the References List for  MHA-FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard

The very last part of your paper involves listing the sources used in your paper. These sources should be listed in alphabetical order and double-spaced. Additionally, use a hanging indent for each source that appears in this list. Lastly, only the sources cited within the body of the paper should appear here.

Sample Answer for MHA FPX 5010 Strategic Plan Objectives and Balanced Scorecard

A set of beliefs, culture and behaviors demonstrated by a group of individuals working toward a common purpose is referred to as organizational culture (Thomas, 2018). This can refer to healthcare personnel who are seeking to deliver the highest quality treatment for patients based on evidence-based practice and promoting positive, innovative changes that help improve workplace ethics and clinical abilities. Nurses, as well as opinion leaders in healthcare, academia, and government, agree that nurses are not seen as key decision-makers or income generators. This notion makes it difficult for nurses to advance to positions of leadership and influence health policy and reform. The first line of defense is to become aware of and understand this barrier. On this issue, nursing needs to educate, foster discourse, and address problems. The fact that nurses aren’t considered as income creators originates partly from the techniques used in acute care. Because there is no billing provision for nursing services, they are grouped together as one huge cost category. The emphasis is on cost rather than productivity. Changes will necessitate policy changes. Furthermore, the healthcare industry must pay more attention to nursing indicators, outcomes, and the impact of nursing on overall healthcare expenses

The successful implementation of a strategic plan requires effective communication and a thorough understanding of not only the role of the organization within the greater community, but also the role of leadership within the organization. By effectively engaging stakeholders and understanding the philosophy of strategic management, leaders can mitigate challenges and hurdles that face those directing change.

This assessment provides an opportunity for you to create an executive-level presentation explaining how SMART objectives underlying each organizational strategy can help the organization successfully implement its strategic plan. Then, after sharing the key performance indicators you developed from the strategic plan, you will use this balanced scorecard to make recommendations to revise the strategies you developed in Assessment 3.

Scenario

In your weekly one-on-one meeting, your manager congratulates you on the comprehensive and well-researched work you have done to date. The CEO has been working with the rest of the organization’s leadership team to adopt the overarching strategies for the organization that your manager recommended. However, your manager and CEO are seeking clarification on how to translate these strategies into meaningful benchmarks, or performance measures. They want to know how the organization will measure progress in following these strategies. In previous discussions with your manager, you have been describing the SMART methodology for writing objectives that support the overarching strategies. She has asked you to share the SMART objectives you have written for each strategy with the CEO in a brief presentation.

You are ready to begin creating your presentation and the slides that you will use to support your key points and conclusions. Your manager reminds you that the CEO expects a brief, substantive, and concise presentation. You will be lucky to get 15 minutes of the CEO’s time. Consequently, she suggests that you include no more than 10–12 slides, or you will run out of time and cautions you about not creating a “death by PowerPoint” experience for the CEO. You already know from experience that your organization expects professional presentations that adhere to the organization’s branding standards.

Requirements

Create an executive-level presentation with voice-over of the SMART objectives that correspond to the organization’s main strategies, associated performance indicators and metrics, and strategic plan recommendations.

Practice your presentation until you are satisfied with it, staying as close as possible to the limited time allotted. Remember that the audience is your organization’s CEO. All the work you have done so far in this course has prepared you for this briefing, but you are ready.
