What is Mr. Levy’s perception of the problem?
In the first episode, Mr. Levys’s perception of the problem is being sick while avoiding the real problem which is alcohol addiction. He believes that the problem started when he left for Iraq and it persisted since his wife has been stressing him out. According to him, things can never be better like before as the person he used to be is dead and will never come back.
What is Mrs. Levy’s perception of the problem?
From the episode, Mrs. Levy’s perception of the problem is that her husband is depressed. She believes that the problem is new and worsening their relationship as her husband was better before and not as angry and depresses as he is at the present. However, she denies the idea that her husband is sick but instead attributes the problem to be her husband’s excessive consumption of alcohol. She believes things could get back to normal.
What can be some of the implications of the problem on the family as a whole?
In the first episode, Mr. Levy denies being a drunk and justifies his drinking to his mission in Iraq.
