Infection refers to the growth of bacteria in our bodies. Pathogenic microorganisms penetrate body tissue causing injury which then results into infection, this causes the body to react since bacteria are invaders that are not really supposed to be in the body. The chain of spreading an infection requires a causative agent to carry the microorganism, then who will carry it (reservoir) who could be a person, an animal, surface. There are two types of infection: local and systemic. By presenting with these signs, the body is trying to communicate the invasion of microorganisms that do not actually belong there, and treatment must be initiated to heal the body.
