Findings show that religious engagement among students declines during college, but their spirituality shows substantial growth. “Students become more caring, more tolerant, more connected with others, and more actively engaged in a spiritual quest.” (“Cultivating the Spirit – Spirituality in Higher Education”) The authors also found that spiritual growth enhances other outcomes, such as academic performance, psychological well-being, leadership development, and satisfaction with college. The study also identified a number of college activities that contribute to students’ spiritual growth. Some of these–study abroad, interdisciplinary studies, and service learning–appear to be effective because they expose students to new and diverse people, cultures, and ideas. Spiritual development is also enhanced if students engage in “inner work” through activities such as meditation or self-reflection, or if their professors actively encourage them to explore questions of meaning and purpose. By raising public awareness of the key role that spirituality plays in student learning and development, by alerting academic administrators, faculty, and curriculum committees to the importance of spiritual development, and by identifying strategies for enhancing that development, this work encourages institutions to give greater priority to these spiritual aspects of students’ educational and professional development

The need for efficiency in the3M 360 framework necessitated the designation of a professionals to provide necessary support, enhancement, and upgrades to the framework. In particular, the head of the server ensures that the server and the interfaces are maintained. On the other hand, end clients such as the CDIS, quality evaluators, and coders are tasked with the responsibility of accomplishing the testing of the framework. On their side, the in heads of clinical documentation and coding are tasked with approving access to new clients, alterations in the design, and discoveries from the framework. Besides, they are responsible for pursing new ideas and strategies from various clients and vendors of 3M to help in improving the effectiveness of the framework. The framework also involves preceptors in every unit who are responsible for accomplishing the preparation and training of the new consumers.

Information System Application Design and Development

The projections showed that the healing centers needed about 30% of the all the coding personnel or approximately $1.2 billion labor cost for ICD-10-CM/PCS coding. The 3M 360 system is fitted with tools to help in realizing the requirements of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding. These pre-arranged instruments resulted in a smooth outline and improvement of the system during implementation. Moreover, the system was also customized to include swim stream work lists for each physician’s facility. Besides, the suppliers and payers were also incorporated into the framework. Translational research has the potential to influence the development of health-improvement initiatives. The four stages of translational research were highlighted in this course: T1, T2, T3, and T4. In the given example, stage two (T2), which assesses the efficacy and effectiveness of health initiatives, can be incorporated into current research to evaluate the relationship between physical exercise and healthy eating habits, as well as aging and longevity. The outcomes will determine whether the proposed initiative will improve population health, particularly that of the elderly.

Healthcare providers and organizations continuously take part in safety and quality improvement initiatives to protect patients, improve the quality of care, and improve the health outcomes of the population. Formulation of policies and identifying harmful events among patients is one method healthcare providers use to improve population health and reduce negative consequences (Amiri et al., 2019). Among the various health issues that require interventions, patient falls at the top of the list. Patient falls are serious and common problems within both acute and chronic hospital settings. Various risk factors include advanced age, weakness, poor lighting, chronic conditions, impaired vision, and side effects of certain medications (Morris et al., 2022). Consequently, falls contribute to injuries, increased hospitalization, increased cost of care, and increase risk of death. Reducing falls is a priority to enhance patient safety (Timmons et al., 2019). Adopting various strategies including the involvement of multidisciplinary teams and toolkits have been used to curb patient falls in the past.

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is a body that has been working for years to identify patient needs and come up with solutions to enhance quality care. To prevent patient falls, AHRQ developed a fall prevention toolkit which has been used in various settings. The toolkit emphasizes the need for screening patients and identifying the risk factors of falls and conducting a root cause analysis for any falls that happen in the hospital (Morris et al., 2022). The development of the tool was heavily influenced by the data and information from translational research which provide evidence-based information regarding risk identification and subsequent steps to adopt post-falls. The evidence provided by translational research helped the AHRQ to formulate concrete interventions and policies to reduce patient falls (Timmons et al., 2019). The falls prevention toolkit remains relevant and applicable in various settings as it applies to my facility to prevent falls and their related consequences.
