Reflection

I learned a number of things on the roles of the nurse and advanced practice nurse as an activist for the LGBT populations. One of the things that I learned is the fact that the nurse and advanced practice nurse plays the roles of advocates in working with the LGBTQ populations. Some problems were encountered while working with the LGBTQ population. One of them was their low level of participation in activities that contribute to their wellbeing. There was also the issue of low level of knowledge among them about their health needs and ways of achieving them. The last problem was the social isolation of the LGBTQ in the society due to their identity.
