Work-related factors such as lack of protective personal equipment, witnessing the suffering and death of the affected patients, and high levels of stress predispose them to post-traumatic stress disorder (Pan et al., 2021).
Interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy have proven effective in managing post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms (Sun et al., 2021). Cognitive-behavioral therapy improves resilience among healthcare providers, which strengthens their development of effective coping strategies against occupational stress and burnout. Problem Statement
Covid19 has placed immense pressure on healthcare providers. Healthcare providers provide direct patient care, which increases their vulnerability to mental and physical health problems compared to the general population.

The consequence includes overwhelming psychological pressure, which increases their risk of psychological problems, including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, fear, and insomnia (Asnakew et al., 2021). Psychotherapy interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy are effective in managing post-traumatic stress disorder in the general population. Its use in healthcare workers affected by post-traumatic stress disorder has not been largely explored. A meta-analysis performed by Sun et al., (2021) demonstrated that cognitive-behavioral therapy had the most significant effect on healthcare providers affected by post-traumatic stress disorder during the pandemic. Interventions such as empathic listening, values clarification, validation of crisis, self-monitoring, relaxation techniques, and acceptance may be effective in improving post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms (Benhamou & Piedra, 2020). Despite this evidence, the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy has not been explored in the practice site to determine its benefits to healthcare providers affected by post-traumatic stress disorder, hence, the focus of the project.

Methodology
