Nurses were able to review previous documentation and continue teaching on problems or follow up on issues that were not resolved. This process allowed each discipline to assist the patient to meet their goals without setbacks. With the use of electronic medical records, decrease errors occurred within the healthcare setting, improved clarity of orders, with particular improvement in prescriptions management occurred, resulting in better patient outcomes (Keenan, et.al. 2016).
