Nonetheless, information present in the material relate with my areas of interest a family nurse practitioner with a specific interest in the emergency care. Notably, findings from the publication provides information to leadership of health organizations on the necessity of scheduling shift days and nights for nurses in ways that guarantee satisfaction for the professionals (Tricco et al., 2018). The approach that I usually use in the identification and analysis of peer-reviewed research comprises of several phases. The first phase involves understanding the primary aim of my research or search for information. The second phase involves locating and determining the areas where the search process will be conducted including databases or library. The next phase involves the evaluation of the found articles to determine whether they are peer-reviewed, current, and relevant to the subject of the research. The next phase involves determine the credibility and reliability of the author(s) of the identified research articles and sources. Previous scholarly work, current area of occupation, and qualifications are the criteria that I use to determine their credibility. The last phase of the search process involves evaluating the primary aims as well as methodology adopted by the authors in the research article. The primary aim and methodology increases the validity of the article.

There are several strategies that have proven effective and successful in identifying and analyzing peer-reviewed articles. I plan on continuous of two that I have found to be critical in finding peer-reviewed research. First, I will focus my search on specific electronic databases that are unique and reputable with a specific discipline. For instance, databases such as CINAHL and Cochrane are well known for credible information on nursing and clinical practice. Second, I will be focusing on the use of keywords or phrases. The choice of the keywords or phrases should be specific to enable the researcher to identify articles and sources that are relevant to the research topic. The one resource that I intend to use in the future peer-reviewed research is MEDLINE electronic database that specifically focuses on providing author abstracts and citations for over five thousand academic journals across the fields of healthcare system, medicine, sciences, and nursing.
